What's New

  • Oct 2017: One Na lidar campaign was conducted in 2017 so far. Over 50 hr of data on 8 nights were acquired.
  • Dec 2016: Three Na lidar campaigns were conducted in 2016. Over 310 hr of data on 41 nights were acquired.
  • Nov 2016: A second All Sky Imager is installed. The two imagers now take all sky images at various wavelengths. See Instrument/All Sky Imager section for more details.
  • Dec 2015: A total of four Na lidar campaigns were conducted in 2015. Over 410 hr of data on 48 nights were acquired.
  • March 2015: The first lidar campaign in 2015 was conducted from January 15 to February 2.  The beam steering was installed successfully, which allows off-zenith measurement for the horizontal wind.  A total of over 100 hours of data on 16 nights were collected.  The lidar were operated in zenith-only mode on 10 nights and in zenith and off-zenith mode on 6 nights. This is the first time horizontal wind were measured after the Toptica Laser upgrade in May 2014. The next campaign is scheduled to be from April 10 to April 27, 2015.
  • July 11, 2015: Fabio arrived at ALO on July 10 to start the July campaign. All components of lidar system are in normal condition. The weather is cloudy on July 11 so no data was taken.
  • July 12, 2015: The data for April 2015 campaign are now available. Download them by clicking on the date.
  • Mar 2, 2015: All plots and data are up-to-date. The current campaign plots and data are being posted as they become available.
